COMPLETE DESIGN SERVICE
I show you the dream, and then I make it happen
This is the full works: from initial consultation through to a finished room or home. I find it the most satisfying, because I get to deliver the end result, exactly how it should be.
Depending on the scope of your project this could include space planning, sourcing and supply of all furniture, fittings, fabrics and accessories, custom furniture design, colour consulting, lighting design and collaboration with architects on large building projects. I work with a trusted network of professionals who I can rely on to deliver.
To keep it simple, I’ve broken the design process down into four steps so you know what to expect.
CONCEPT DESIGN
All you need to take the project forward: mood board and specification pack
If you’d like a design, but want to do the project management yourself, then this could be for you. The first stages are exactly as you’d get in the complete design service, but then I stop once the design is done, and hand the reigns over to you.
Take a look at the first two steps of the four step design process. At the end you take away mood boards and a specification pack that details all the elements of the design.
SOURCING AND SUPPLY
Unearthing those jewels that will bring your design to life
Does shopping fill you with dread or delight? Either way, it’s time consuming and if you don’t know where to look, you might miss that show stopping item.
I happen to love the thrill of the chase for the perfect item, the more unusual the better. Because the right piece can transform a room.
You can use me to source everything, certain items or to accompany you on shopping trips. I charge a handling fee of 20% for most items, and for art and antiques I charge an additional finding fee by the hour (£35/hour). All trade discounts and savings as a result of my tenacious haggling are passed on to you (and often surpass my fee).
CONSULTATION
For when you just need a helping hand
Sometimes just talking your ideas through might be all you need if you’re confident in your own style. I offer a consultancy service where I walk through your home with you, discussing solutions to specific problems, colour schemes, fabric choices, layouts...whatever’s on your mind.
Some clients use my services like this throughout their renovation. We can have weekly chats where I provide ideas to enhance the look you’re after and sources for you to go to. I charge by the hour for this at a rate of £35.
